Chateau Leidigh Wins Gold Medal, Other Awards
Chateau Leidigh, California's Most Exclusive Estate Winery®, is pleased to announce that its
2004 Estate Claret recently won a Gold Medal at The Indy International Wine Competition held
in conjunction with the Indiana State Fair. The Indy is billed as the largest international wine
competition held in the United States. Out of 2,558 commercial wines entered, just 9% received
Gold Medal awards. In addition, at the same competition, Chateau Leidigh's first-ever estate “port-style” wine won a
Silver Medal. This wine competed against Port wines from
Portugal, including 10-year-old vintage Port from a major port-producer.
Also, our 2003 Napa
Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Old Vines, Casalina Family Vineyard garnered its third medal in
three competitions. It won a Silver Medal in the Florida International Wine Competition and in addition, the National Women's Wine Competition all-female judging panel found it to be a “Wine
