Located in beautiful El Dorado County, the heart of California's historic gold rush country, our award-winning winery produces very limited amounts of estate-grown wines. Our wines are personally crafted by our experienced winemakers who are hands-on throughout the process. We employ no hired hands in our operation.

If you are interested in learning more about our wines or to place an order or be added to our mailing list, please e-mail: ChateauLeidigh@aol.com or phone us at (530) 626-1959.

Our winemaking concept at Chateau Leidigh is to make our award-winning wines as naturally as possible. We want to share the fruits of our labors with those who appreciate fine wines. Our motto: "Good honest wines at a fair price" reflects our passion. We aren't trying to get rich at winemaking. Heck, we couldn't at these low quantities and low prices!

We make California wines with a French accent, using only top-quality European cooperage, but the oak never dominates the fruit. We treat our fruit with great care. It is brought in immediately from the vineyards located within 100 yards or less of the winery. It is gently destemmed and crushed. When fermentation is near completion and we press-off the new wine, we don't press hard; thus, no harsh tannins and no "stemmy" characteristics. We use traditional techniques that achieve a distinct "fruitiness" to our wines and we don't manipulate the wines with "high-tech" gadgets and machines. We hope you'll enjoy the product of our "labor of love."
