2004 Estate Claret
MEDAL WINNER

A Gold Medal winning classic Bordeaux-style wine, it consists of the five noble red grapes of the Bordeaux region of France: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. This wine has both power and finesse, showing early on that it is a true champion. It received a Gold Medal just four weeks after bottling at the 2007 Indy International Wine Competition. The Indy is billed as the largest international wine competition held in the United States. Of 2,558 commercial wines entered from all over the world, only 9% achieved Gold Medal status.

The 2004 Estate Claret is complex with layered aromas of fruit and toasty oak notes. Aged in small French oak cooperage, it is a very limited production wine, with just 474 bottles produced, each individually numbered and labeled by hand. If you request, a Gold Medal bottle sticker will be supplied for you to affix to your bottle(s) of the wine, especially nice for gift-giving!
